Niall started his career in Intellectual Property shortly after being called to the Bar of Ireland as a Barrister-at-Law in July 1993. He subsequently qualified as an Irish Registered Trade Mark Attorney in 1994.

Niall spent five years as an associate at a leading Intellectual Property law practice in Dublin, during which time he became a Professional Representative of the European Union Intellectual Property Office in February 1996.

Niall moved to London in 1998, where he worked in senior private practice roles for leading ‘West End’ and ‘City’ full service law firms for 15 years. During his time in the United Kingdom, Niall qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (no longer practising). He also became a United Kingdom Registered Trade Mark Attorney.

In 2013, Niall moved to Switzerland where worked in-house as a trademark advisor for one of the world’s largest broadcasting and media companies. He returned to Ireland in late 2014, when he founded, and now manages, his own Intellectual Property law practice.

Throughout his career, Niall has acted for and advised clients across a spectrum of sectors, including FMCG; fashion; luxury goods; information technology; broadcasting/entertainment and pharmaceuticals. He has handled a diverse range of matters on behalf of his clients.
