Career Milestones
- Niall starts his career in Intellectual Property law shortly after being called to the Bar of Ireland as a Barrister-at-Law in July 1993.
- Qualifies as an Irish Registered Trade Mark Attorney in 1994.
- Works as an associate from 1994 to 1998 at a leading Intellectual Property law practice in Dublin
- Appointed first Irish Professional Representative of the European Union Intellectual Property Office in February 1996.
- Moves to London in 1998 and works in senior private practice roles for leading ‘West End’ and ‘City of London’ full service law firms over a period of 15 years.
- Qualifies as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (no longer practising) in 2002.
- In 2009, Niall co-founds and becomes a partner at a boutique Intellectual Property law practice based in London (no longer operating).
- Qualifies as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney of the United Kingdom in 2014
- 2013 moves to Switzerland and works in-house as a trademark advisor for one of the world’s largest broadcasting and media companies.
- Niall returns to Ireland in late 2014 and creates his own Intellectual Property law practice.
Throughout his career, Niall has acted for and advised clients across a spectrum of sectors, including FMCG; fashion; luxury goods; information technology; broadcasting/entertainment and pharmaceuticals.
Niall has handled a diverse range of matters on behalf of his clients.
Niall has also lectured and mentored on a variety of Intellectual Property topics.
